Chardham Yatra is an important Hindu pilgrimage in the Himalayan circuit. It comprises of four important religious sites- Yamunotri, Gangotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath whose foundation stone were laid by great Hindu saint Adi Sankracharya during 8the century. All these four religious abodes are dedicated to four different Hindu deities. While Badrinath and Kedarnath are dedicated to lord Vishnu and lord Shiva respectively, Yamunotri and Gangotri represents two Hindu river goddesses Yamuna and Ganga. The 12 days tour package is customized to acquaint you with spiritual aspect of ‘Dev Bhoomi’ Uttarakhand along with a chance to experience the thrill of white water rafting in Rishikesh.
Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar (215 kms / 5-6hrs)
Upon your arrival at Delhi airport/Railway Station, leave on road to Haridwar. En route, halt for lunch. On arrival in Haridwar, partake in the evening Ganga Aarti at Har-ki-Pauri. Later, you will be given a proper briefing and presentation of Chardham yatra. Dinner and overnight stay will be provided in Haridwar.
Day 02: Haridwar- Chami/Barkot
Following a leisurely breakfast in the morning (7.30 AM), leave for Barkot/Chami. En route halt for lunch at Mussoorie followed by sightseeing tour which include visit to Kampty falls and Lakhamandal- a popular Shiva temple built by Pandavas after their successful fire escape from Varnavata. On arrival in Chami/Barkot, check in at the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Chami/Barkot- Yamunotri
Post an early morning breakfast (5.30 AM); begin your yatra to Yamunotri followed by a trekking tour to Janaki Chatti. Today’s sightseeing includes visit to Surya Kund- a hot spring pool visited by pilgrims to get refreshed and cook rice for offering Prasad in the temple, Divya Shila- a rock pillar worshipped by pilgrims before entering the Yamunotri temple, Yamunotri temple- a temple dedicated to holy river Yamuna. Return to Barkot for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 04: Barkot- Uttar Kashi/ Harsil
After breakfast, explore the attractions of the city which include Lakhamandal. Post sightseeing, leave on road for Uttar Kashi. On arrival in Uttar Kashi, check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure and city exploration. Your sightseeing tour includes visit to Kashi Vishwanath Mandir- an ancient Shiva temple, Annapurna temple and Bhairav temple. Dinner and overnight will be provided in Harsil.
Day 05: Harsil- Gangotri- Uttar Kashi
Post an early morning breakfast (7 AM), leave for Gangotri. On arrival in Gangotri, pay reverence to the holy river Ganges. Post lunch, drive back to Uttar Kashi. En route, visit Gangnani known for its thermal water springs and for offering panoramic views of snowy mountain peaks surrounding Gangotri. Later, return to your hotel for overnight stay in Uttar Kashi.
Day 06: Uttar Kashi- Rudraprayag/ Gupt Kashi
Early morning (6 AM), leave on road to Rudraprayag. En route, you will pass through river Ganga while making way to Tehri Dam. Later halt for lunch at Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay will be provided in Rudraprayag.
Day 07: Rudraprayag/ Gupt Kashi- Kedarnath
Post an early morning breakfast (7 AM), hit the road to Gaurikund, known for its thermal water springs and Gauri temple. On reaching Gaurikund, join other pilgrims for trekking tour of Kedarnath. En route, you’ll be served with packed lunch at Rambada.
On arrival at Kedarnath, you’ll be escorted to the hotel by our tour representative. In the evening, do darshan and perform pooja at Kedarnath temple. Other important attractions in Kedarnath include Sankracharya temple and Bhaironath temple. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 08: Kedarnath- Pipalkothi/ Rudraprayag
Early morning, partake in Mahabhishek pooja in Kedarnath temple followed by breakfast. Post breakfast (7 AM), trek down to Gaurikund. En route have your lunch. On reaching Gaurikund, board the vehicle (car/bus) and drive to Pipalkothi/Rudraprayag via Chopta. Stay overnight at Pipalkothi/ Rudraprayag.
Day 09: Pipalkothi/Rudraprayag- Badrinath
Post an early morning breakfast, hit the road to Badrinath. En route halt at Jyotirmath and explore Narsimha temple and Sankracharya seat. On arrival in Badrinath, savor your lunch followed by excursion to Mana village (Badrinath temple is closed from 12 noon to 3 pm). Do darshan at Badrinath temple in the evening. Stay overnight at a hotel in Badrinath.
Day 10: Badrinath- Rudraprayag
Early morning, partake in Mahabhishek pooja in Badrinath temple. You can also perform pind daan pooja in Brahmakapal to make your ancestors soul rest in peace or choose to visit Badrika Ashram aka Mana village.
At Mana village, visit Bhimpul- a huge rock forming a narrow bridge over the unruly Saraswati River said to have place by Mahabharata warrior Bhima, Vyas Gufa and Ganesh Gufa-It is believed that sage Veda Vyas composed Mahabharata and Bhagwata Gita here and various confluences like Vishnu Prayag, Karan Prayag and Nand Prayag.
Post breakfast, leave on road to jyotirmath to visit Kalp tree and Sankracharya Math. En route, enjoy your lunch at Pipalkothi. Stay overnight at Rudraprayag.
Day 11: Rudraprayag- Rishikesh/Haridwar
Early morning, leave on road to Haridwar. En route have lunch at Kaudiyala. You can also partake in a river rafting tour from Brahmpuri to Rishikesh (optional). At Rishikesh, explore the city attractions which include Lakshmana Jhula, Shivananda Ashram and Bharat temple. In the evening, partake in Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan Ghat at Rishikesh. Stay overnight at the hotel in Haridwar.
Day 12: Rishikesh/ Haridwar- Delhi
Post a leisurely breakfast in the morning, head straight to Delhi. At Delhi, you will be dropped at Delhi airport/ railway station to board flight/ train for onwards journey.

During the period of tour of Kailash mansarovar which is physically and mentally a stressful tour due to Snow Fall and less oxygen and limited resources, Bhaiya happened to be the saving grace for his resourceful attitude, presence of mind and leadership qualities of carrying the group as a team and as one big family.
