Dehradun Sahastradhara helipad to Sirsi to Kedarnath - Badrinath to Sahastradhara

Badrinath and Kedarnath are two of the holy Char Dhams in Uttarakhand. Located in the snowy heights of Himalayas, these Do Dhams are the holy sites to clean sins of a lifetime and also attain salvation. Do Dham Yatra by Helicopter is a meticulously designed single-day journey for pilgrims who wish to visit the holy sites of Badrinath and Kedarnath. Badrinath Kedarnath yatra by helicopter ensures a comfortable pilgrimage for devotees who are running short of time or are not physically able to undertake the arduous Yatra. The helicopter tour starts from the capital of Uttarakhand, Dehradun and ends here on the same day after the visit of Badrinath and Kedarnath.

The holy Do Dham Yatra by helicopter starts early in the morning (7 AM) with the take-off from Sahastradhara heliport in Dehradun to Sirsi helipad. According to Government regulation, pilgrims need to change helicopter at Sirsi and take another helicopter to proceed for Kedarnath.

Arrive at Kedarnath helipad. The Kedarnath temple is within walking distance, around 700m. VIP Darshan slips for the temple are arranged for you. Enter the holy shrine and takes blessings of Lord Shiva. The temple is home to one of the divine 12 Jyotirlingas in India. The divine bliss is something beyond words.

After Kedarnath darshan by 10 AM, get back to Kedarnath Helipad and fly to Sirsi. From Kedarnath helipad, you will first reach the Sirsi helipad and from here you will change the helicopter for Badrinath. It will take only 10-15 minutes to change the helicopter. Arrive at the Badrinath within an hour. After your arrival, you will head for the darshan at the Badrinath temple. It is the holy shrine of Lord Badri, a form of Lord Vishnu. One of the holiest pilgrimage sites in India, the temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu.

After darshan, you will be escorted to the hotel for lunch. After having the scrumptious food, drive back to the helipad for your return journey to the Dehradun Sahastradhara helipad. Do Dham Yatra by Helicopter: Important Points

  • In case hotel transfers need to be arranged by IHPL, it is required to be conveyed by the guests to IHPL during the time of booking. The accommodation can be arranged at an additional cost. 
  • If the flight is getting delayed due to any unforeseen circumstance like NOTAM/ delayed clearances/ bad weather, etc., we shall convey to the guests in advance, so that they will be able to report at the Sahastradhara heliport accordingly.
  • At Sersi, it is required to change the helicopter. The crew shall help the guests to board the shuttle service helicopter at Sersi for Kedarnath Dham. The direct landing at the Kedarnath helipad is not possible. There can be a waiting time of approx. 1 hr. at Kedarnath helipad (subject to weather conditions). However, our crew shall try to board you on a shuttle flight at the earliest possible.
  • After arrival at Sersi, guests will be flown in the charter aircraft, from Sersi to Badrinath helipad.
  • At Badrinath, transfer to the temple will be done by car for darshan. The VIP darshan shall be arranged by us for the guests at Badrinath Temple.
  • The guests will be brought back to the Badrinath helipad after darshan to catch their return flight to Sahastradhara.
  • On arrival at Sahastradhara, the Do Dham Yatra shall conclude. Guests shall be dropped by us to their hotel in Dehradun, in case hotel transfer has been arranged by us.

NOTE: In case of a night halt at either of the Dhams, the guest can inform us during the time of booking. We can arrange the accommodation at an additional cost. Maha Abhishek/ Rudra Abhishek Puja can also be arranged in case of a night halt program.

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR DO DHAM YATRA BY HELICOPTER

  • Flying in hills is subject to many factors like delayed clearances from Air Force & Civil Aviation, VVIP movements, valley flying by Indian Air Force (NOTAM), bad weather, the sudden occurrence of technical snag in the helicopter, illness of flying crew, or late reporting of the guests at the helipads.
  • Any passenger weighing above 80 Kg, shall have to pay extra weight charges @ INR 1000/kg for the excess weight, toward the extra weight charges against Palki at Yamunotri, & shuttle service at Sersi on a direct payment basis.
  • Our company shall not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the party. Therefore, in your own interest, guests are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get a medical check-up done, before commencing the yatra. A medical check-up is mainly required if a guest has any medical suffering/condition.
  • We shall refund the proportionate amount to the guests, in case either one, or both, of the dhams are not able to get completed due to bad weather conditions/technical snag/force majeure reasons.
  • In case of a charter getting canceled due to bad weather on the date of travel of the guests, the booking will not be revalidated for the next day. Refund as per the refunds/cancellations policy shall be done to the clients, with no further obligation of IHPL whatsoever. Any kind of inconvenience caused because of the cancellation of flights is beyond the control of the operator. No compensation, reimbursement, or arrangements shall be offered in the event of the cancellation of a flight. 
  • Our company shall not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the party. Therefore, in your own interest, guests are hereby advised to kindly consult a doctor and get a medical check-up done, before commencing the yatra. A medical check-up is mainly required if a guest has any medical suffering/condition 
  • Any donations, tips, pitthu, and porter charges shall be borne by the guests only.

CARRIAGE BY AIR ACT, 1972

The carriage is subject to Chopper Company regulations relating to the conditions of Non-International Carriage (Passenger and Baggage) framed in accordance with The Carriage by Air Act, 1972 and Notification regarding application of the carriage which is non-international.
The liability of the company for damage sustained in the event of the death or wounding of a passenger or any other bodily injury suffered by passenger or by his registered baggage during the course of carriage by air will be governed by the provisions of sections 4,5,6 and the rules contained in the Second Schedule of Carriage by Air Act 1972 with certain exceptions, adaptations, modifications, etc as notified in the Govt. of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation Notification and as amended from time to time. 

NO AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Aerial Photography from Helicopters is illegal and punishable by law and photography at the helipad is strictly prohibited.

INFANTS 

Infants below 2 years/12kg are carried free of charge. In case of verification of age, the ID proof/birth certificate of the child shall be checked.

HAND BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

Only one handbag weighing a maximum of 2 kgs is allowed per passenger. 

HELICOPTER WEIGHT LIMITATION

Passengers would be taken on board depending upon the load and temperature conditions. The pilot's call will be final. The maximum weight capacity of the helicopter is 450 kg (excluding baggage weight) at these destinations. All passengers on board must be within this limit. Hence, passengers are advised to provide us their exact weights at the time of booking and carry baggage within the permissible limit.

DISPUTES

Disputes as to legality, interpretation, application, or performance of service or any of its terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Delhi Jurisdiction.

PAYMENT TERMS
The booking has to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the charter amount. The full amount has to be deposited 25 days prior to the date of the journey.

Rescheduling of booking to a next date will be done subject to availability and on payment of 15% of the cost. This will be permitted only if informed 10 days before the arrival date. In case the rescheduling is requested with less than 10 days to the arrival, then the booking would be treated as canceled and a fresh booking will be given subject to availability.

DO DHAM YATRA BY HELICOPTE: CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:

If passengers wish to cancel their booking then they will have to pay the following cancellation charges -

  • More than 15 days before the departure date — 35% of total charter amount
  • Between 08th to 15th day before departure date — 60% of total charter amount
  • Up to 07th day before the departure date — No Refund.
  • No show – No Refund.
  • Bad weather – Full refund toward the proportionate amount of the unutilized sector(s), minus INR 25,000 toward the flight preparation and ground arrangement charges.
