Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a journey to salvation, one of the holiest pilgrimages in Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, and Bon religion. The snowy peak of Kailash and the high-altitude lake of Mansarovar both are located in Tibet. These attractions are two highlights of the spiritual journey that is definitely worth a lifetime.

The Parikrama of the Mount Kailash, believed to be the abode of the Lord Shiva is also known as the navel of the world. Itinerary Details
Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu. Meet our tour representative. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra starts from Kathmandu from where you will be taken to your hotel with your tour representative provided by us. After reaching the hotel, check in. After a short rest leave for a visit to Pashupatinath Temple.

Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2
Kathmandu - Nepalgunj

Wake up in the morning, and leave for Nepalgunj. This border city in Nepal is the base of the pilgrimage. After a short flight of 55 minutes you will reach the town. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax.

Day 3
Nepalgunj – Simikot – Hilsa – Purang

Early morning, check-in to board a flight to Simikot, settled at a height of 3000 m by fixed wing, on a flight for 45 minutes. Later, proceed to fly to Hilsa (3700 m) by Helicopter in 30 minutes. Later, begin a 1-hour drive towards Tibet. Cross the border and keep driving to Purang (3800 m). Stretch your legs while your border-crossing formalities are competed.

On arrival in Purang, check-in at the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4

Today, the entire day is free of all plans. Stay in Purang for full day of acclimatization and preparation of the Yatra.

Day 5
Purang – Mansarovar

Wake up the next morning, and get ready for the road journey to Lake Mansarovar. Located at 4500m above the sea level, this lake is a holy site where you actually feel the taste of bliss. After a 3-hour drive reach the holy lake in Tibet. Take a holy bath which is said to absolve sins of a lifetime and that too of 7 lifetimes. Do your worship rituals on the lake banks. You can also circumambulate the lake.

Day 6
Mansarovar – Diraphuk

Wake up the next morning, and then start a 2-hour drive to Yama Dwar. If you decide for a Parikrama trek, then you will need to walk to walk 7-8 hours. Or proceed to Diraphuk from Yama Dwar. On arrival in the town, check-in and enjoy the hospitality of the guesthouse. Spend an overnight stay in Diraphuk.

Day 7
Diraphuk – Zhuthulphuk

Start the day early with a trekking tour to Dolma-La Pass, the toughest and steepest route throughout the journey. Today you will need to walk for 10-12 Hours to enjoy the beauty. Beyond the Dolma La Pass you might get to enjoy the view of the holy Gauri Kund Lake. Take short stops while you will trek downhill towards Zhuthulphuk valley.

Spend an overnight stay after having your dinner at the guesthouse.

Day 8
Zuthulphuk – Darchen

Wake up the next morning, for a 3-4 Hours trek to Mani walls. The Mani wall stones in Tibet have inscription and carvings which are believed to be auspicious. Pilgrims touch the cravings to take the blessings of the divine.

Later, continue with a 3-hour drive to Darchen. On arrival check-in at the guesthouse, and enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at Darchen.

Day 9
Darchen – Purang – Hilsa

Today you will start the road journey, drive downwards to Hilsa via Purang. You will take around 3-hours of scenic routes to get to the town. After reaching Hilsa, you will be taken to a guesthouse. Relax at the guesthouse, and enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at Hilsa.

Day 10
Purang – Simikot – Nepalgunj – Kathmandu

Today, you will head back to Kathmandu. Avail the 30-minute helicopter flight to NepalGunj from Simikot and then another 45-minute flight from Simkot to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you will be escorted to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay after you check in the hotel.

Day 11
Drive to Airport and fly back to Home

Today the holy Kailash Mansarovar Yatra comes to an end. You will be escorted back to the airport for your onward fight. Return home with divine blessings of Lord Shiva.
